Zeitgeist - A media Conference

Zeitgeist is the department fest of the Mass Media department of St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. As the head of creatives for Zeitgeist, I played the role of a Creative director. The whole visual branding aspect of the fest, from the color scheme, to the fonts and the design depended on me. The theme for Zeitgeist ’23 was ‘El Dorado- a realm beyond reality’. Through the color scheme and designs, my team and I tried to translate the vision of the chairpersons.
“El Dorado” stands for a place of fabulous riches and was the name of a mythical lost city located in South America on the Amazon. The term first appeared in English as ‘legends of the city of gold’, which we would like to draw a parallel with in college. Although according to learned people, nobody was able to find this place, we will, at St. Xavier’s, create an “El Dorado”, referring to any place promising great wealth in the form of knowledge, wisdom and experience. Zeitgeist aims to be the El Dorado for all BMM students- with wealth in the form of prizes, events, potential career options and most importantly- knowledge.
